EDWinXP library components consists of three parts- Part, Package and Symbol.

Consider for example if I want to add a component LIQ to the EDWinXP Library.

Steps:

• Copy the files filename.part, filename.package, filename.symbol to EDWinXP library, ie C:\EDWinXP\LIB\
  Here copy the files LIQ.part, LIQ.package, LIQ.symbol to EDWinXP library. For using the newly added component in Schematic or Layout editor we have to update the search sequence.
• Update the search sequence for using the components

Steps for updating the Search Sequence

• Open EDWinXP Library Explorer from Main Window.

• Go to view option and select Search Sequence, a window appears.

• Tick on the box alongside of the new added part, package and symbol.

• Click Accept

• The Search Sequence is updated
