How to start a new project with existing circuit

Postby tseyfarth » Fri Jul 23, 2010 4:02 am

Hello,

I want to start a new project and use an existing circuit design. The existing design incorporates version control so a simple "save as" won't cut it. I thought I could save the existing design as a design, then load that to a new project. This does work - except that the MAINHIER cannot be deleted - so there are now 2 circuit designs for this project.

What is the best way to accomplish this goal?
Thank you
Tim

Dear Tim,

You can save the circuit by the following procedure. Tools -> Block Edit -> Save Block. Draw a block and select the required region of the circuit. Then save it. For loading the circuit, you can use the "Load Block" function tool.
