I've sent these files using mail, because it is bigger than 256ko, the max size in this forum....

EDWKRN2K.dll : created on 2010/02/12, modified on 2010/02/11, size = 632 Ko (647 284 octets), version = 1, 0, 0, 1.

We assume that the problem regarding the gerber dll has been solved for you with the older dll. Please use this updated new dll from the attached zip file.

Dear Patard/TLEC,

The error was present when the unit in GERBERVIEWER was set to mm.But once you set the unit to mm in GERBERVIEWER, you always get the runtime error.Here it was working fine we are all using inch as the unit.

Also this was an index out of range error , which occurs due to accesing a value in array from wrong index.

This new file works well for me.

I understand why I see the 2010-02-11 version working only one time. I remember I changed unit in the combo "unit"...., but I didn't note that was the cause of the error...

There is no longer combo box for unit now ? only in the menu bar ? ...It's just a detail...

It is not still possible to assign .dxf layer(s) to Edwin board layer ? Just works with a .dxf file for each board layer ?

Please upload the DXF file here.
Please find the attached image showing DXF import to board outline category.System will automatically find out the correct category and import.

What I think, Patard is meaning, that if you have an DXF-File with multiple layers, say Board Ouline, Component print and solder print, It is not possible to assign the layers correctly, since the DXF import in EDWin only can handle one layer, as it seems.

Yes,Currently EDwin can handle Importing of DXFfile in to a single layer.Suggested features can be consider in next version of EDWinXP

I don' t understand..... you want to sell us a feature (multiple layers in dxf) that was present in previous version of edwinXP? (1.5 or 1.6, I don't remember).
I used it several times and it worked well.... Why have you changed this?

The current DXf import in EDWinXP 1.71 is much more improved one .The implementaion is tottally new.So adding multi layer support also required to be done totally new.This requires some time and will be ready in future versions
